My Little Puppy (fiction)

One summer afternoon my mother , father , and I went to the pet store to buy a puppy. When we went in we saw big dogs , small dogs , baby dogs , adult dogs , good dogs , bad dogs , and a whole lot more. We're getting the puppy for my baby brother Jake's fifth birthday. He said that he wanted a baby podle. We we're getting it for a party after he got home from daycare. We are inviting some of his best friends and some of my best friends too. We picked out a white podle with a bushy tail. When we got home everybody was already there. We went to pick Jake up from daycare. When we got home the party started. There was a Speed Racer cake , and Elmo cupcakes. A bunch of presents we're there too. We had lots of fun all afternoon!

Heat Transfer Experiment

Today in science class we learned that heat flowed in a copper pipe from a warmer to a cooler area of the pipe. We placed a copper pipe into a container filled with warm water. The heat went up the pipe to our hands. When we put the pipe into cold water the heat traveled down the pipe to the cold water. When the experiment was done with plastic pipe it took more time because heat travels more slowly in the plastic.
