My Thanksgiving

On Thanksgiving day my grandmom, and my cousin Tj. My grandmom brings macironi. My dad buys corn, string beans, potatos, and a huge jucie turkey. My mom sets the table while my dad and my grandmom cook. My brothers my cousin and I play outside. We are having dinner at our house. When they are finished we eat. But first we say our table manners. My dad takes photos this year of the family. Maybe he will take pitures next year. It is a very happy time of the year for us! I hope they can come again next year.

Christmas in Mexico

Our class went on a mini field trip to another room in our school to learn about Christmas in Mexico. Two people talked to us about the customs of Mexican Christmas. They played music and we sang songs. At one time they played with maracas. It's a small round globe that is hollow and has beans inside. We learned a lot about Christmas in Mexico. I think I would really like to live in Mexico!

Candle Tea

On Friday of last week our class went on a field trip to Candle Tea. Everyone in our class received a nice gift. They gave a candle made of bee's wax to each student. It has a nice brown color and has the bee's wax smell too. Before we left we also got ginger cookies and a drink of lemonade. It really hit the spot! Everyone in the class loved the field trip to Candle Tea.

A Study of Uganda by a guest speaker

Uganda is a diffrent place than the United States.Like when someone is sick or hurt you have to take them to the hospital. No 911 or ambulance. When in the hospital you must take care of the person. You must cook and feed them and supply and clean the bedding. In Uganda when it is Christmas it is so hot that people wear short slieve shirts. Also in Uganda at Christmas time people eat goat meat. They say it is so good. It taste like chicken, bacon, and steak. Also in Unganda when a girl is going to have a baby she has to buy three blankets. One for heer legs, one for her belly, and one for her neck. She ties a knot so that the baby can stay in and not fall out. Men also can wear a blanket around their legs. Unganda is a very different place to live in. I'm glad I live in the United States. Anna
